About Waking Dream

Waking Dream is an international independent rock band originally formed in Moscow in 2012.

We play a raw mix of classic rock, punk and old-school heavy metal, with influences from a wide range of genres. Fast tempos, blazing guitar solos, powerful female vocals and a healthy dose of rock’n’roll attitude are at the core of our sound.

Our band has a total of seven releases so far (three full-length albums, two EPs, a collection of early demos and a live bootleg).

Currently, we do not perform live and exist solely as a studio entity.

Quotes

Peculiarities of Evolution!!! might not be a revolution in music (well, that has never been the band’s goal anyway), but it’s indeed an extremely well-done and thrilling album of Rock N’ Roll, and in the end that’s all that really matters and, of course, everything a true rocker needs.

The Headbanging Moose Webzine

Coming from the unlikely background of a punk band, the two main members Aleksandr Imaykin and singer Olga Karbusheva are on a path to symphonic metal greatness, if they can keep up what they are offering here.

The Metal Observer Webzine

The quartet approaches their music with an uninhibited, original energy; if one were to ponder the future of rock, one might well find an answer here. If you prefer a darker sound, this isn't the band for you. Waking Dream - a name worth remembering - is all about good vibes.
